The GM 160 AS trencher with auger offers high efficiency and precision
The GM 160 AS trencher is a mounted trencher for Unimog. It is designed for tractors with a three-point linkage and can be attached to their rear with little effort. With a weight of 2,300 kg, this tiller is comparatively light and can therefore be used with a large number of tractors. Especially when laying drainage pipes, such a device proves to be of good service and makes the work easier for the user.
The GM 160 AS trencher is characterised by great precision
When trenching, precision is of the utmost importance. The trenches must be cut as cleanly and precisely as possible in order to accommodate a drainage pipe without difficulty. For this reason, value should be placed on a high-quality attachment trencher for Unimog. This is able to cut large trenches as well as many small trenches in a very short time. Such machines are therefore used both in private house building and on professional construction sites. The GM 160 AS trencher has already proven itself in various construction projects and has convinced with its strength and reliability.
The attachment trencher for Unimog achieves its high precision, among other things, through the carbon chisel chains and mixing chains it uses. The chain widths vary between 150-450 millimetres and are characterised by excellent workmanship and high stability. The milling bar depth is 1,250 or 1,600 millimetres. Another very useful tool is the sole scraper with sole plate, which can be adjusted mechanically or automatically to the respective milling depth.
These are the tasks of a mounted tiller for Unimog
A mounted trencher for Unimog is particularly suitable for laying cables, pipes and drainage pipes. They therefore play a decisive role in house and road construction, but are also used in agriculture. Here, for example, drainage pipes are laid in fields to prevent waterlogging and the resulting damage. Thanks to the trenches milled cleanly by the GM 160 AS trencher, it is easy to place the corresponding pipes in the ground. The excavated material is laid out next to the trenches in such a practical way that subsequent backfilling is no problem at all.
Depending on the requirements, a cutter bar depth of 1,250 millimetres or 1,600 millimetres is available. The beams can be used laterally offset, which makes working on obstacles noticeably easier. In addition, different chain widths of 150-450 millimetres can be used. This results in the greatest possible individualisation, so that the mounted tiller for Unimog can be used for numerous projects and for various surfaces. A further contribution to this flexibility is made by a laser system for manual or automatic depth adjustment.
Important requirements for the use of a trencher for Unimog
In order to use the GM 160 AS trencher, it is important to have a tractor with a three-point linkage at the rear. Such tractors can work with different types of transmission. The mounted trencher for Unimog can handle a hydrostatic drive as well as a super crawler gear. In addition, it is important to decide how the mounted tiller for Unimog is to be driven before making a selection. Here, for example, a power take-off shaft or a hydraulic motor are available.
Individual adaptations are possible at any time with a GM 160 AS trencher. However, it should be noted that an increase in accessories is always accompanied by an increase in the dead weight of the mounted trencher for Unimog. For example, the pipe-laying shaft with pipe holder is very popular. With these, laying drainage pipes in the ground becomes child's play. When selecting a machine, the intended use should always be kept in mind in order to be able to select and use the appropriate equipment.
